The architect Charles Moore skillfully evoked, and helped create, the genius loci of Southern California in a range of notable projects designed largely over the decade he taught at UCLA: 1975 to 1985. This tour includes five of these projects, visiting three in some depth: the Beverly Hills Civic Center, St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, and the Leland Burns House. Tour goers will also view the Psychoanalytic Building, Selby Condo, and the Gehry Residence. The tour departs USC at 9am and returns at 2pm. Lunch is not included but light refreshments will be served at the Burns House, the final stop.

**NOTE: This is a bus tour but also involves walking and significant stair climbing, in and out of doors.

The tour will be led by Jeffrey M. Chusid, Associate Professor, City and Regional Planning, Cornell University and John Ruble, FAIA, Partner, Moore Ruble Yudell.
